Di Betta Dressings
A great product that has come to my attention is called Di Betta Dressings. It is only sold in Oregon but, the company does some mail order selling. Their dressings are all natural, has no sugar, Low Cholesterol, No MSG, No Preservatives & only 1 gram of Carbohydrate per 1 TBSP. I used the dressing to cook with chicken & it was so good. Here are some of the dressing names Garlic & Parsley, Garlic & Black Olive, Creamy Garlic & Parsley, Garlic & Mustard, Reduced Fat Garlic & Parsley and Garlic Cilantro. Great tasting & Good for you. What more can you ask for? Send them an email and tell them Kimberly sent you.
Sugar free Ketsup - Dana McCoy
In a non-reactive pan, not aluminium-
1/2 bushel tomatoes, blanched, peeled, cooked until soft, then strained.
Boil this down until it's thick as you like catsup, equals about 8 pints
add:
3 tblsp. Salt
3/4 tblsp. black pepper
2/3 tblsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tblsp. cinnamon
1 pint of vinegar
bottle in vinegar proof container, old catsup bottles are the best.
I think white vinegar is tradionally used but I plan to use apple cider vinegar.
Here is a list of hidden sugars from Dana
sucrose (cane or beet)
lactose (milk)
fructose (fruit)
glucose (in medicine, glucose)
dextrose (grape sugar)
maltose (mail)
maltodextrose
levulose (fruit)
